Alabama football releases two minutes worth of quarterback drills footage

Jun 15, 2024

The lingering question in Tuscaloosa, Alabama is who will be the starting quarterback for the Crimson Tide in the Week 1 matchup against Middle Tennessee?

It’s a fair question, but the Tide have a handful of talented options and Nick Saban has earned enough trust over the years that we can expect him to make the right decision for this team. That being said, whoever starts Week one might not even start against Texas the following week, it will be an open competition until someone shows they’re the clear starter.

Jalen Milroe is the only quarterback on the roster to have started a game for the Crimson Tide and many think he is the leading candidate to win the job. Milroe is the best athlete on the field anytime he laces his cleats up. If he can show some consistency in the passing game, he could be a really special player in Tommy Rees’ new offense.

Alabama football released roughly two minutes of quarterback drills from Tuesday’s practice, and those clips were shared to X, formerly known as Twitter, by Al.com’s Michael Casagrande.
